Dear Art Friends,

The nomination round for the Artist of the Year 2022 election has been completed. It is with great pleasure I can report to be nominated once again this year by the panel consisting of approximately one hundred art connoisseurs.

The first public round of the Artist of the Year 2022 election starts now. In this round, everyone can vote for a maximum of two nominated artists and, and if desired, for an artist of their choice. This round will lead to 25 semi-finalists.

Perhaps unnecessarily, but I would really appreciate it if you would give me your vote:

LUCIDE – new porcelain sculpture

LUCIDE is the first of a series of porcelain sculptures I am working on called “Porcelain Transparency”. The pure appearance of the porcelain material plays an important role, but so does the light because it shows the transparency of the porcelain.

It is also fascinating what the light does to our eyes so that we experience the negative form as a positive form. That’s why I chose to show a number of photos of the same image from different sides and exposures.
